COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by the severe acute respiratory coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) virus. It affects people of all ages. Older adults and people with certain medical conditions have an increased risk of severe disease or death from COVID-19.

Adult Vaccination
Vaccinations for adolescents, pregnancy, and at risks groups are available at BMCOL, either
private or through National Immunisation Program. For more information about specific

Flu Vaccines for 2025:
- Flu vaccines will be available from April 2025.
- Government-funded flu vaccines are free for children (6 months to 4 years), adults 65+, pregnant women, those with certain medical conditions, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Private flu vaccines are $20 per person if you’re not eligible for the government-funded vaccine.
